Free Short Film Workshop
PLEASE NOTE DATE AND TIME CHANGE
SATURDAY, May 7th (1pm to 5pm)
The UNLV Short Film Archive will conduct a day-long filmmaking
workshop that will include screenings of award-winning short films
especially programmed for grade levels: 1-5, 6-8, 9-12. There
will also be filmmaking workshops for each of these grade levels.
This program has been funded, in part, by the Nevada Arts Council,
a state agency, and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal
agency.
The shorts films will premier at UNLV’s Classroom Building
Complex (CBC A-106, 108 & 112) auditoriums on Saturday, the 7th of May, 2005 (1pm until 5pm). Along with the short
films screenings, there will filmmaking workshops conducted by
UNLV faculty and Film Department students which will detail the
short filmmaking process.
The goals of the UNLV’s Short Film Archive are to ensure
that the art form of the short film is presented in free public
screenings and that it promote an awareness and interest in the
process of making, presenting and preserving short films. We hope
to see your students at this screening series and filmmaking workshop.
