Florian Baxmeyer , born in 1974, studied Sociology at the University of Cologne, and has worked as an assistant director. Since 2000, he has been attending the Film Studies Program at the University of Hamburg. His films include the shorts Pas de deux (2000), Der Verkaufer (2000), Benny X (2001), Joker-Zu Fuss (2001), and Die Rote Jacke (2002), which won the Student Academy Award in 2003 and was nominated for the OSCAR for Best Short Film - Live Action 2004. He is currently working on the TV adventure movie Das Blut der Templer.
